Netflix’s Black Doves, starring two-time Oscar nominee Keira Knightley, has landed – and we’re thrilled that our Crystal Palace House played a starring role in the action. Warning! Spoilers below!

Set in contemporary London, Black Doves follows Helen Webb, a politician’s wife whose life takes a dark turn after the mysterious death of her lover. Most of the scenes shot at 7 Tudor Road showcase Helen’s home life – family dinners, quiet moments, and everything you’d expect in a domestic setting… until the tension ramps up.

One stand-out sequence? A gripping stunt scene where Helen comes home late and is attacked. What starts as a kitchen brawl spills into the living room, only to end in dramatic fashion with her attacker taking an unfortunate plunge over the balcony. It’s thrilling stuff, but as you’ll see on screen, the house handled every punch, kick, and camera angle brilliantly.

The Experience: From Home to Film Set

For the owners of Crystal Palace House, the transformation was both surreal and exciting. With an impressive crew size of 80 and a cast of 5 actors, the house buzzed with activity throughout the production. The owners temporarily moved out to make way for the film crew, offering full access to the scripted 11 internal locations and 4 external areas, including the striking balcony where the dramatic stunt was filmed.
